Grid Project Tate Gebhart

I went to the neighborhood Walmart Tuesday right by campus and bought a total of three items. The items I bought were board, crayons, and colored pencils. I proceeded to go back to my dorm and once I got back to my dorm I put my materials on my desk. I then took out the board and drew ,with a pencil, 900 squares and then I colored in my grid with various crayons and colored pencils. The challenging part for me was to make sure that I did not use the same crayons and markers so that each diagonal square would represent one singular color. This project was not overall to complex ,but helped me learn to be discipline and to stay with in the lines. I personally would have rather drawn outside the lines ,but the assignment left me only so much time for overdoing the creativity side of this drawing.

  1. Looking at this from a distance was like waves but as you get closer I saw more structure. I like the colors used throughout.

  2. I really like how you did your project. It's amazing how people can have different interpretation of something. Some will say it's a bunch of waves, others will say it's a structure but when I first saw it made me think about stairs. It's all about perception!!!
